Rebel Radio Network which owns and operates the Breeze 90.1 FM and Rebel 97.1 FM in Stanthorpe has a home based position available for a community coordinator in Stanthorpe. The position is available on a permanent part time basis for up to 18 hours per week. Suggested hours are 9am-3pm Monday, Wednesday and Thursdays. Working hours and days are flexible within certain parameters and will be decided with the successful applicant. Training for the position would be 3 day commitment on the Gold Coast in the first week of September. (Travel and living away from home expenses will be paid by the company)

The position, initially, is proposed as a temporary position for 6 months from August 2019 to February 2020 with four weeks annual leave over Christmas with a view to becoming a permanent position in 2020. If the position is ongoing you will be required to attend 3 day training on the Gold Coast in March/April and again August/September each year.


The position would suit a mature, confident, outgoing person that is willing to be the face of Breeze and Rebel in the local community. The position will be home based and you must have access to reliable internet, computer and telephone access.

You will be required, but not limited by the following criteria;

  1. Build a working relationship with our clients in the area.  This means face to face contact and phone contact on a monthly basis

  2. Organising new advertising copy information for our clients and prospective clients

  3. Offering advice on potential advertising leads to the account manager for the region

  4. Representing the company at community events, networking meetings and selected charity based promotions

  5. Maintaining regular posts with our Whats on Facebook Page

  6. Liaising with local organisations for free and paid promotion through our community events radio packages

  7. Provide our newsroom with leads of newsworthy information in the local region

  8. Assisting with database mail outs to all community and charity organisations


Hours of work
18 hours per week, Monday, Wednesday and Thursdays.

This will include up to 2 hours per week/fortnight dedicated to networking and local community functions. These maybe after hours and time off will be given in lieu.
The position will be part-time for a period of 6 months and will be reassessed after that time.


The position requires a mature, confident person, with highly developed networking skills. The successful applicant should be involved in the local community/groups.

The successful applicant will have;

  • attention to detail

  • great time management and organisational skills

  • public speaking ability an asset but not essential

  • Generosity of time and involvement towards local events and community groups

  • History of involvement in organisations supporting the local region

  • knowledge of the local area

  • ability to work with a team

  • a valid driver’s licence and access to a presentable and reliable vehicle

  • Access to a reliable computer and internet connection


You will be working with Google’s G Suite Cloud Based Drive program, Hubspot client management system and Gmail. Training and ongoing support will be given in these programs, but you will need to be proficient with Facebook and other social media platforms.


You will be paid as a permanent part time member of our team working approximately 18 hours per week under the Clerks Private Sector Award 2019.

  1. Hourly rate $22.70

  2. Superannuation at 9.5% of your gross wage

  3. Capped travel allowance weekly
